You don’t need to head to the sea for a good swim. Just a stroll from Bicotorto, the Miño offers up one of the most peaceful scenes of the Ourense summer.
A swim on the banks of the Miño
The Área Recreativa das Poldras is the river beach of A Arnoia: a freshwater bathing area with a picnic spot, shade from the trees and the river flowing gently by. It is one of the stops along the Ruta Fluvial e do Camiño-Miñoto, so you can walk there from the guesthouse and reward yourself with a dip.
And for the more active: Castrelo
Just a few minutes away, the Castrelo de Miño reservoir and its Parque Náutico are the go-to spot for water sports in inland Galicia: sailing, rowing, kayaking and paddle surf, with rentals and lessons for all levels.
Nature without a car
On our eBikes or on foot along the signposted routes, the river becomes the common thread running through your days here: river beaches, viewpoints and villages beside the water.
